While recently visiting Paris, I dedicated a day to cocktail tasting. The first stop of the day was at the Cambridge Public House. I'd scouted them out on the World's 50 Best Bars some time ago and been looking forward to paying them a visit. The Cambridge Public House is the quintessential pub style bar offering phenomenal cocktails and freshly baked snacks. Upon entering the bar, you're immediately hit by the fragrance of freshly baked pastry. I wasn't even hungry when I arrived, in all honesty, but that splendid smell convinced us to try one of their sausage rolls and homemade pies; and what a great decision that turned out to be. The perfect savoury snack to enjoy alongside some cocktails. The bar offers unique and creative cocktails with flavours ranging from sweet and creamy to bold, savoury and tangy.

The menu changes periodically giving one the option to visit on every trip to Paris ;-) The mixologists will keep you entertained with their fascinating and impressive cocktail making skills. I loved the Panais Colada - an audacious twist on the classic Pina Colada. Instead, the Panais Colada is made with parsnip, cream, Plantation original dark rum and velvet falernum. It's a more refreshing version, when compared to the typically over-sweet coconut version, boasting creamy earthy flavours. Another fabulous cocktail was the Kiwi Gyan - a tangy, fun, green concoction of kiwi, lemon, maraschino cherries and Plantation 3 Stars Rum. At the time of my visit (March 2022) cocktails were priced at EUR13 each. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Cambridge Public House. It’s no surprise that they’re currently listed as number 92 on the World’s 50 Best Bars. I will definitely be back on my next visit to Paris.
