A few weeks ago my benedict and I suddenly had a craving for some good Asian cuisine. After having heard many great things about Momo Baohaus in Greenside, we decided to give it a try.

The best way to enjoy such a great menu, is to go for multiple options and share. This is exactly what we did. We ordered the vegetable spring rolls. They were fresh, crispy and oh so tasty. We also opted for the Szechuan prawn wonton; poached prawn, pickled shiitake, ginger, crushed peanut, chilli and Szechuan peppercorn oil. I loved this! It was really delicious and had a flavourful bite to it. I enjoy spicy food so this one was definitely for me. My benedict on the other hand, not so much. Suffice to say his eyed watered up very quickly. We also chose the duck bao. This was roasted duck served with plum sauce, hoisin, mayonnaise, spring onion and coriander all on a steamed bao bun. This too, was absolutely amazing! The firecracker chicken was also a great choice. It was crispy fried chicken served with Szechuan chilli oil, ginger, garlic, crushed peanut, spring onion and toasted sesame. Lastly, we also tried the Seoul bowl. This was crispy Korean beef served with kimchi, spring onion, Asian slaw and wokked greens. This was also a really enjoyable dish.

Momo Baohaus is all about great flavours and the freshest products. They definitely tick those boxes. The food was brilliant and without a doubt one of the best Asian meals I’ve had in years! The restaurant has an inviting feel to it and the service was good. Our waitress seemed to know the menu very well and suggested some of her personal favourites. Seems they’ve since become some of my personal favourites too. I look forward to visiting Momo Baohaus again soon.
