A few weeks ago I visited Naked Kitchen in Morningside Shopping Centre. Naked Kitchen and Coffee Bar is all about fresh, wholesome, home style cooked food and of course fantastic coffee.
I visited Naked Kitchen for brunch on a busy Sunday morning; seems they’re a popular choice for weekend brunch… and now I know why. The waitress recommended I try the roasted hazelnut latte. Wow! The hazelnut flavour was evident from the moment the coffee was placed on the table, giving off an inviting fragrance. It was delicious! I then opted for the smashed avocado on toast which was served with added recommended pistachio and dukkah crumble along with a fried egg on the side. The avocado was smooth and creamy. I absolutely loved the flavour combination of the pistachio and dukkah crumble. It tasted great sprinkled all over my avo! My egg was perfect; sunny side up just as I requested. Really loved this dish! My benedict chose the mince on toast. This was beef mince con carne served with roasted vine tomatoes. Another tasty brunch option. We ended off our meal with a slice of Naked Kitchen’s signature brown butter banana bread. It’s served with their homemade whipped salted butter. This was probably one of the best banana breads I’ve ever had; it was superb!
Naked Kitchen and Coffee Bar is modern and stylish deli serving great food and amazing coffee. I really enjoyed my meal and the service was good too. I’ll certainly be back again soon for brunch and some more of that amazing banana bread.
